Recently, I had the privilege to speak at the Global Summit for Productivity in the Age of AI, hosted under the vision of #ViksitBharat. The summit brought together leaders, innovators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to reflect on how artificial intelligence is reshaping our societies and economies.

AI in Fintech and Banking: Smarter, Faster and More Inclusive

Artificial Intelligence is already making a profound impact in the fintech and banking sectors. From fraud detection and real-time risk management to intelligent credit scoring and personalized financial services, AI is enabling institutions to serve customers better.

However, these opportunities come with challenges. Automated decision-making must be transparent, explainable, and accountable. Without that, customer trust is at risk — and in finance, trust is everything.

AI in Education: Personalized and Scalable Learning

One of the most exciting opportunities lies in AI in education. By analyzing student performance and learning patterns, AI-powered platforms can personalize education at scale. This makes it possible to deliver high-quality learning experiences to diverse learners, regardless of geography.

Teachers, in turn, can focus on creativity, mentoring, and emotional intelligence, while AI handles repetitive administrative tasks. Done responsibly, this can bridge learning gaps and make education more inclusive.

AI in Healthcare: Accuracy, Access, and Trust

Healthcare is another sector where AI promises transformative impact. From AI-assisted diagnostics and predictive health analytics to patient care automation, the technology can increase accuracy and reduce costs.

But healthcare also deals with the most sensitive form of data, patient health information. This is where responsible AI practices become critical. Protecting patient privacy, ensuring clinical accuracy, and maintaining transparency in diagnosis are essential to build trust with patients and providers.

Responsible AI in India and Beyond

AI is still in its formative years, and the choices we make today will shape its future. That is why responsible AI is not optional, it is essential. At Askimo, we believe ethics in AI is not just about avoiding misuse, but about actively embedding trust, fairness, privacy, and transparency into every solution. For Indian companies aiming to scale globally, this means aligning with data privacy and security laws of every geography we operate in, whether Europe, ASEAN, or India.

Askimo's Early Journey: Learning from Global Leaders

Even as an early-stage company, Askimo has had the opportunity to engage with:

Leading European banks

One of the largest IT companies in ASEAN

Innovative fintechs

Esteemed government bodies

Across these diverse contexts, our guiding principle has been consistent: build AI responsibly. That means:

Strict compliance with data privacy regulations in every region

Clear, transparent practices in data management

Embedding explainability and accountability into AI-driven decision-making

These practices may require more effort upfront, but they build long-term trust and credibility, both essential for sustainable growth

The Moral Obligation of AI Builders

As builders of AI products, we carry a moral obligation. We are not just writing code or training algorithms. We are laying the foundation for a technology that will touch billions of lives in the decades to come.

If we prioritize only speed or profits today, we risk creating AI systems that are biased, brittle, or distrusted. But if we invest in ethics, transparency, and accountability now, we ensure the AI ecosystem develops on strong and resilient foundations.

AI and Employee Productivity: Augmenting, not Replacing

At Askimo, our mission is simple yet bold: to empower employees with AI products and solutions that increase productivity by 4X.

This is not about replacing human intelligence. It is about augmenting it, freeing employees from repetitive tasks and enabling them to focus on creativity, problem-solving, and customer relationships.

We believe the future belongs to organizations that view AI as a multiplier of human capability, not a substitute for it.

The Road Ahead: Collaboration for Responsible AI

The age of AI is here, but how it evolves is still in our hands. Policymakers, technologists, businesses, and citizens must work together to shape AI as a force for good.

At Askimo, we are committed to playing our part. Our focus remains on building AI that is ethical, transparent, and human-centered. We invite others across industries and geographies to join us in this mission.

The productivity gains from AI are real. The opportunities are vast. But the responsibility is even greater. Together, we can ensure that as AI accelerates progress, it also safeguards the values that matter most.
